Best 70-76 Shaker Hood… Goodmark, OER, others?

Anyone have recent opinions on this? It is time to order a hood.

I bought the rear quarter patch panels and front passenger floor pan from Classic Ind.  They are made by OER and I am very happy with the quality and fit.  The only thing that would make them better is to make them the same thickness as the OEM. 

I also bought some rear quarter panels and rear floor section from Goodmark and they are very good quality and fit.  This is for a 1987 K5 Blazer.

I can’t speak for the earlier hood but did buy one for my 79. I don’t recall the exact manufacturer now though.  I’m sure the info was lost in a previous site crash. The shaker hole was roughly 1.25” too far back.

I found AMD to be very close to original fitment with sheet metal.  I used their complete floor pan with bracing, complete trunk pan with bracing, inner and outer rear wheel wells also.  The contours, bends and fit was spot on.  AMD parts are a little more expensive but ya get what ya pay for in this situation. JMO

I don't remember (or think) OEM hood were offered and they only have fiberglass. If you have time I would recommend looking for used original. I was able to find mine years ago and see them every now and then on CL.

I've bought from them, good old OEM parts from cars they take apart.

Went through two or three stock hoods already that were barely tweaked or bent up or sagging sheet skin metal. Just think it’s time to go repro for it.

There is a man on Firebird Nation.com going through his fathers estate and has a '76 Trans Am hood and scoop for sale. It is listed under "Latest Posts". Might check it out there, maybe e-mail them. Hope this helps.

He finally replied on the other web site, no further information other than he is in Bozeman, Montana. No price, no e-mail, nothing. Don't know what he's trying to do if he doesn't post any info....??

I have a nice 1975 hood, still wearing its original Admiralty Blue paint.  My issue is that I am having some back trouble, and am unable to pack/ship large items anymore.  I still have the upper nose and the entire rear bumper left too.
