DIY Sound Deadening Trunk Lid

My trunk lid sounds like a Pepsi can when you tap on it and the skin vibrates against the support structure underneath. I decided to try this trick which is not OEM but it worked and made me happy.
First I modified and lengthened the spray tube with a piece of thick wire so I could reach further into the supports and the foam isn't visible through the holes unless you really look in there.

I also applied some Killmat to the inside of the rear quarter panels, trunk floor and the back seat divider. Sounds like a nice thud now instead of that tin hollow sound. The trunk lid still pops up when I unlock it.
