Does anyone watch this guy Derek?  He's pretty funny and a great hacker.  Here he is resurrecting a 78 Firebird.

Every week, he's hilarious and a pretty smart guy when it comes to cars. My friends son actually does the drone work and additional filming on set. My friend got to be on the side lines for one of his episodes.

I am pretty sure it was someone at TAC that turned me onto Derek at VGG. I find him very entertaining. Nowadays there are lots of you tube shows out there, hard to beat Derek. Pretty amazing what he does, the dialogue and video editing etc. Probably a lot more work involved than people realize. I also like how he gets his wife and one of his sons involved too.

I think I posted about it long time ago but I haven't watched the show in a very long time. How often do you want to see the same thing and the same jokes? and I had to look up "I'll be dipped" that he uses every 2 minutes. I do agree it is a lot more involved than most people think and the guy knows his stuff... although I'm sure he does a lot of research prior to taping the show.

I agree and I've stopped watching it (also don't have time to watch) but the guy is talented, and I'm sure he does a lot on prior to taping that most don't see. He seems to be successful and build himself a good business.

I never knew about the guy until I saw him on Motortrend TV.  He's been on YouTube for 5 years, I must have been in a closet  :?.

Roadworthy Rescue is Vicegrip Garage.
There just shortened episodes from his YouTube channel.
One there on Motor Trend they show up on his channel as full length episodes.
I like the show.

I like it because it is totally different than shows that do expensive builds and what not. The fact that he gets these cars in such poor shape and actually get them to be on the road again is pretty cool, not to mention he drives them home.
He has done some pretty cool cars including a Cutlass and a Lemans.
There is a lot of crap on tv so this show is actually pretty good in my opinion!  :D

Yesterday I turned on YouTube and all of the sudden I saw a show where a group of people bought a car from VGG and drove it home 2000 miles. It was somewhat entertaining as I did not fall asleep watching it.

There are also a couple of episodes of his '68 Firebird. I find him funny and entertaining.  I too really like how he involves his wife and spends quality time with his boys.  The episode with the '78 Firebird is not one of my favorites...the car was just thrashed...especially on Hot Rod Garage.

Does he sell most of the cars he gets up and running?  I wasn't sure what happens to them.  I guess the sales help his financial income.

Warren,

I believe he did, early on.  I remember him keeping the Buicks and some pickup trucks.  Since stardom and his move to Tennessee, not so sure. He talks about Rusty Acres, where he keeps most of his project vehicles. He should put them up on blocks and provide some sort of cover for them, otherwise they continue to rot.

That was Fabrats another good YouTube channel.
The took a boat that had sunk 30 years ago in lake meed and got the original motor running and fixed the boat up and found the original owner and gave it back.
The traded the car they delivered the boat with for that from Derick.

From what I understand is that the cars he does on the show Roadworthy Rescue are Motortrends and they are keeping them for now, I heard they were being moved to California but don't quote me on that. The stuff he does on his Vice Grip YouTube page are his.

He has a bunch in what he called rusty acre's which he moved all those cars down by his shop.
He's building a new shop where rusty acres was.
He also have Vicegriplodge where he posts all the posts all the property and shop updates.
These guys are making allot of money off these YouTube channels.
Makes me want to start posting more on mine.
