Hot Rod Power Tour 2022
« on: April 30, 2022, 09:47:08 PM »
Hello TAC,
I'm planning on participating in the Hot Rod Power Tour this year.  This 28th Power Tour starts in Memphis on Monday, June 13th.  I'll be joining in Lebanon TN on Tuesday, the 14th.

I've been dying to run the Power Tour since I read about the first one in Hot Rod Magazine back in the mid 90's.  This year the stars have sort of aligned...I had been meaning to road trip TA back to my brother's place (He did the body and paint, but hasn't seen the car finished), the Power Tour happens to be stopping in his town this year,  and I have an opportunity to take some extra time away from work this summer.

If anyone else might be attending, post up here!

Below is a list of the Power Tour stops for 2022:

Day 1: Monday, June 13 - Memphis International Raceway, Millington, Tennessee
Day 2: Tuesday, June 14 - Nashville Superspeedway, Lebanon, Tennessee
Day 3: Wednesday, June 15 - Hoover Met Complex, Hoover, Alabama
Day 4: Thursday, June 16 - Pensacola Fairgrounds, Pensacola, Florida
Day 5: Friday, June 17 - Atlanta Motor Speedway, Hampton, Georgia

Take care!
-Tom

I’d love to do power tour sometime. Last two were close enough to me but not this time unfortunately.

I was one of the stops their very first tour. They stopped at King Speed Shop in Lansing, Ill. There were maybe 25 cars or so.  Since then I’ve gone to a few stops where I’d continue on to the next. I’ve been stuck in heavy rain and high heat but can’t say I’ve had a bad time.

One of my favorite parts was having the T tops off on my 87 going under overpasses loaded with people waving and holding signs saying ‘Welcome Power Tour’.

None of the stops this year are close for me. Plus I’m working.

Wish you the best of luck on your journey.
