I saw that yesterday.  The article claimed that one of the Rockford TV cars was in the fold, and that James Garner himself owned it.  That's as close to a Burt owned car if you ask me.

I agree about owning a Rockford car, but I dont think that car is in the 'mailmans stash'.  The blip said that the TV car was being sold by barret jackson, the trans am collection is being sold by vanderbrink.  I would bet there will be some good deals to be had. There was an article about the Rockford car in Smoke Signals a year or so ago. I think its the same car.  Fox just put that in there for 'click bait'.  Also said he had a large stash of parts being auctioned but it was in person only.

Better than Burt;  Garner actually drove the cars and stunts.

Did not know that but I also don't remember any radical stunts.

Not radical but real world stuff, aka pulling a "Rockford".

Sure you do Jack. Put your shifter in reverse, floor it driving straight backwards, cut the wheel sharply, and shove it into drive while performing a 180°. They call that, a "Rockford". That was about as radical as it got. Tough on TH350s. I'm sure they had TH400s installed in his cars, even if they were only 350s.
