RIP George Foreman
« on: March 22, 2025, 08:05:26 AM »
I just read that George Foreman has passed away. I am of the age that I remember watching him box, along with Ali. Other than maybe a century before to me that was the golden age of the sport. And how many people have his grill in their kitchen

About the best compliment I can give him is I never knew his political leanings and never cared - he was just larger than life
( yes, I had 2 grills)

RIP George!

While known for his fighting and knockout abilities, hard not to think of the Foreman Grille. I also remember he named all five of his sons George. I believe he also had five or six daughters. That’s a lot of mouths to feed, let alone college educations. Despite his fame, to me he seemed like a down to earth guy.

He was one of the greats.  I did not see the movie about him, but I guess I should.  Coincidentally, I was looking to see if "carproperty.com" was still in business, and found a house of his had been for sale.  Might still be.
