Sides Of The Car
« on: September 18, 2024, 04:29:44 PM »
Might be a dumb question, I can explain why I am asking later. But what is the Right and Left side of the car?

I consider sitting in the driver seat looking forward. The left (for us Americans) is the dr. side the right is the pass side.
Opposite for our Australian friends

Correct it's always when you are sat in the driver seat. That's how you order parts LH vs. RH.

The reason I asked is I am having problems with my brake calipers. I have a brand new caliper that is marked R and it matches my original marked L perfectly. The one marked L is not correct. I think I may have put the wrong one on the wrong side of the car because of this

Just to be more confusing, why do most paired part numbers on these start with the RH side, then the LH side in number sequence?!

Bleeder screws should be facing upwards. Quick way to tell what's going on just by looking at things.
