Windsheild washer fluid hose routing

Here is the routing I have. Problem is that the fluid hoses get pinched by the rear seal at the cowl when closed. Is this routing correct?

Here’s mine. It was this routing when I got it just put new hoses in, could’ve went longer though. Don’t think I get any issues, although I rarely use it.

Thank you for that! Looks like you have a single feeder hose using a T-connector to branch off the driver side spray nozzle?

I just took what was left of mine off of the hood, but I think what Zach has is closer to being correct. I do not think that one hose to each nozzle that TA301 shows is right? I am pretty sure there is a T fitting involved someplace.
Again, I will have to check for sure late when I get in the shop.

TA301, there are two types of washer pumps. The pump integrated into the wiper motor and the pump in the bottom of the washer fluid bottle. I believe most Gen II Firebirds have the pump integrated into the wiper motor, same as yours. That pump has a larger intake hose that runs from the top of the washer fluid bottle cover and two smaller output hoses that connect individually to each nozzle. If you have the pump at the bottom of the washer fluid bottle there is only a single output hose from the pump and you would need a T to split off to the nozzles.

Here is a picture of my 1980, it has the pump integrated in the wiper motor, same as yours. I am still running the original hoses and do not have a problem with the rear cowl seal pinching off the hoses. If you look at the cowl seal in the blue circle you can see a slight indentation from the hose. The cowl seal is pretty soft.

I believe most have them had the bottle mounted pump. 77 or 78 and earlier. My 77 has bottle mounted

Yours being a 1980 and mine a 1981, I have no doubt they have the same routing and integrated washer fluid pump. I will use the routing you have. I am sure it will complete the coorrectness of restoartion of that part of the car. Thanks a lot!
