TH350 whining noise
« on: June 22, 2024, 02:13:29 PM »
Hope everyone is enjoying the summer. We took the T/A out for a cruise a few nights ago. As soon as I accelerated from a stop I heard a whining noise from the transmission. The noise was similar to a loud power steering pump. I noticed it only makes the noise when tipping in on the throttle when rpm reaches about 1600 just below the lock up and wheels start to move. I can brake rev the engine stopping all internals of the trsnmission and the noise is still there. I think its either the pump or converter, more so the converter. No noise at all in nuetral or park. Has anyone ever had a similar problem?
