Dash bezel screw tube
« on: June 18, 2024, 02:11:40 PM »
I found this little tube/spacer/sleeve, whatever it's called, in one of the holes where the two lower, long screws go vertically through the dash, into the dash bezel. The other hole is smaller and doesn't have the tube. This little tube was so rusty, it was literally welded to the plastic and hard to remove.

Large hole on the left, small hole on the right. I was just wondering why

I had my dash done by Al Knoch so there is some foam still covering the holes but it also has the different size holes.  I don't know if there is a metal tube in the square type spacers.  When I get that far into the restoration I'll clean the holes out and see if there is a metal tube in there.
