Sound deadener
« on: March 30, 2024, 05:43:54 AM »
I would like to add sound deadener to my doors once I get them done. Dynamat is a bit pricy so looking if there are any other options or if the price is worth it.

I used dynamat….. don’t have any experience with any other manufacturer. One thing to take into consideration is the weight, especially with the doors. I did my 79 doors in dynamat and nothing in the 74 doors. I could not tell the (sound) difference between the two, but the weight is extremely noticeable.

Based on those test results I wouldn’t waste the money on Dynamat.  My Dynamat was installed 10 years back before replacing my interior.  There’s nothing special about it except the price being higher.  There are tons of better options now.  Heck even the Amazon Basics brand is rated better.
