Mirror gasket review confusion

Somewhat amused, but largely annoyed by ongoing confusion with mirror gaskets. And sellers who claim there is a LH and a RH gasket, yet never tested the idea or understood how it would even work on different doors.
3 buyers, 3 confused reviews left. 2 complaining of fit yet have photos of X-body cars that do not use these gaskets. Yes, the ad is purposely vague for sales and their own lack of knowledge. 1 other review saying fantastic, but that there is also a RH mirror gasket. No, there's not. You own it.

Just curious, how do they even fit that one car? Wrong mirror?

The X-body mirrors from 75+ bolt onto top door ledge not side, so is a square cut mirror support. Being the same casting and tapered this means mating surface is slightly longer.
Forgot this thread, haven't forgotten that I can't give the thing away.

That's the first company I've seen advertise the 9832127 gasket. They usually try and sell the 9832126 for both sides.

They are for both sides, they are not for both models. Just another shop that doesn't know the part they sell, even when they reproduce it.

A case of using a Firebird mirror gasket on a Camaro door. Thin-side up, mirror leans inwards. The pin is still intact so either the locating screws are redrilled, or the pin, or all of them seeing as many base model Camaro didn't even get a RH mirror. The extent of the lean isn't quite obvious from this angle.

You can't even trust the big names anymore, none are enthusiasts, all are new kids out to make a quick dollar.
RAMC cheap and nasty, minus the cheap, mirror mounting gaskets. Yet again, with no idea and no understanding of what they sell or how they install. LH and RH versions, no. Suits Firebird and Camaro, no. Even shows hows their gasket amazingly fixes a droopy mirror on a door, wow! But creates it on the opposite model. Clowns. Don't fall for this crap.
