bucket seat hinge bushes

Has anyone rebushed their bucket seat hinges? I need to take mine apart in the future for an unrelated task so thought I'd have a set ready just in case. I don't know the sizes needed, haven't tried to find out, would need access to seats and to pull backs off to measure and not at that point, they are in storage.

Actually, I think I have an original used spare or two, but no guarantee they are the correct size as on my seats, I should check.

Ames have a set FA208F which look correct but also mention chance of various sizes used and not why. Not terribly useful, I'm sure they know further but vague sells more. Another online response was a 77 TA owner that said they didn't fit, also no further info. Otherwise limited info and no GM part reference. Apparently 0.540" and 0.590" OD, looking at pics those measurements seem off based on the thickness.

I have a lead locally on a reproduction set of bushes used on 70's Holdens, the GM part number matches some US GM bushes used in tailgates and door hinges, not so much bucket seat hinges. I'm going to grab some just to check.

But thought I'd put it out there if anyone had any experience prior.

I don't but I do remember seeing a post about using Ford door latch bushings from the "HELP" section that used to be in auto parts stores. But that is about it. I believe it was a thead on here years ago too.

Thanks, yeah that's for the striker studs where the seat frame rests. These are small inserts that go through the hinge as the hole is far larger than the pin. They generally don't wear out so not known about so much.

Oh, ya. Never thought there would be enough movement to wear those out.

I got the nylon bushings off the shelf from NAPA when I did my 77. They may have been made by dorman. They did fit correctly, not a clue on part no. though. I am just about to go through the seat resto for my TATA so I will be checking into those. I will post if I find anything out.

All good, just making conversation. I can't find my used sample, was quite torn up so not great anyway. It was also because I know my seats have been apart for reupholstering and like most of the car, never went back quite together complete or same order, so who knows if they are even there at all. I believe so, but there's some things that I didn't take 50 pics of while at it!

If I needed some or some needed them desperately, I could just make them from delrin on my lathe if someone had the specs.

Turns out the samples I picked up were tiny and of no use at all. I did ask dimensions, no response. I'll worry about in in the future sometime, need to take side brackets off one day and get plated.
