1979 TA Car & Driver article
« on: February 03, 2023, 07:37:29 PM »
Haven’t posted in a while - hope you’re all doing well.

Saw this old article from Car and Driver posted today on the 79 Trans Am.  Thought it was pretty cool
and well written.

I still have the paper copy of that magazine I bought when I was waiting for my 79 to be delivered.  Notice that the interior seats did not have the Hobnail cloth when the photos were taken for the article.

Thanks for sharing, a brutally accurate article and enjoyable read. For a long time Car and Driver had great writers, eventually they went away just like the 2nd generation TA.

I have the magazine this article appears in.  What surprised me is on the back cover is the new for 1979 was the B&M Quick Silver shifter.  Have two cars with this shifter.  Still offered today.
