TAC Decals
« on: January 10, 2023, 12:04:01 PM »
Howdy gang!
Does anyone remember the TAC club decals we used to have? I put my black/gold one on my toolbox and I have one more red/black one left but it's from ages ago and I don't know if it's still good so I was wondering about getting some new ones.

I have that same red one on the back window of my old truck. I have a gold one like yours still unused. I think I posted on here awhile back if anyone here printed them. I am pretty sure I got no response. I was willing to try and get some reproduced but did not want to infringe on anything. Def. not trying to make any money but I would still be interested in having some reproduced.

I still have a couple of unused ones.  I assume mrbandit probably had them made, but it's been a few years and I've slept since then, so I'm not sure about that.

I do not think it was Mr. Bandit. But if it was I am sure he will set me straight :)

I still have mine. I would order a few more if we can figure out who made them. I'll have to do some research, I'll look in my archived emails, I save all my emails of stuff I buy.

Thanks for the replies everyone, if someone does dig up additional info, please let me know. Otherwise maybe one of us can get the OK from MrBandit to get a new batch made.

I will throw this out there. I will check out a local sign guy and see if he can make copies. There is no trademark, etc. on the original so I dont think it will be illegal. I am not trying to be immoral and IF I can get this done I will charge cost only, so not trying to make money. I will say this like being at a wedding. IF there is anyone that thinks I should NOT do so, please say so now, and I wont.

We need to be respectful to Mr Bandit and the original creator. I don't believe it will be an issue, however it is not my site, name, domain, etc. It doesn't matter whether the intention is to monetize it or not. I too would be willing to make up a batch but I'd rather have Mr Bandit's (or the creator's) approval before doing anything along those lines. I'm in no rush, I should probably just send him a DM and see what he says.

Back before he became famous with the 5th gen TA concept Kevin Morgan made all of them.  I don't remember if he made them himself or outsourced them.  I don't really have the complete source image to make them, but I do have the round bird artwork.  I can see if I can do something on the printing sites that are available now.

There is a print shop down the street from me; they did 2 batchs of our "Scarebird" decals - excellent quality.  But the last order they goofed and left the receipt for the company that actually printed them   :
