What is the factory distributor orientation and spark plug wire routing for a 1979 Trans Am, 4 speed?

If by "orientation" you mean the rotation of the rotor, then it is counterclockwise.

No, the location the factory used for the number one spark plug wire terminal on the distributor cap.

I got this off of a Motor Auto repair manual.

This one is from a Chilton's manual, basically the same but from a different angle. I have several factory service manuals, but they aren't showing the plug wiring.
