I was hesitant to drive just because after I finished the resto. I did not want to 'undo' 5 years of work. After putting limited miles on the first couple of years I realized I am not getting any younger, I do not plan on selling the car so caution to the wind and I started driving it as much as I can. I wish I had a job that I could use it at least once a week. I dont run the &^&%& out of it, but I do enjoy it. Its a machine and it needs to run to be healthy. I found last season that I had more fun going to shows than actually sitting at them. I am a member of the AACA and knew that it was not 'perfect' enough for their show field so I started in the DPC (driver participation class). I plan on more driver participation this coming year
I see a lot of cars there that are so perfect that only leave the garage on a trailer. I dont get it. I know some people prefer that and Im not knocking it, just not for me.
I saw a beautifully restored 75 TA a few weeks ago. Guy wont drive it because its too nice and he prefers that. And he went on to tell me how great the motor runs!!!
