What is it ?

Located above the steering column, behind the main gauge cluster. Three wires go to it. Can’t find it on my schematic.
The best I can tell, is that it has a orange with black stripe, red with white stripe and a pink wire going to it…I think.
The wiring harness looks untouched and still in very good shape
This is a 1974 Trans Am, 455/auto car with PW, AC , no power locks. I removed the interlock system system because of parts availability (a 1974 only thing).
Any help would be appreciated..

The top one appears to be the heater light or the rally gauge light. I’d guess heater first.

Thank you for the response Updated71, I should have provided a better pic, but the part in question sits back in the shadow and is attached to the firewall bracing.. It’s the rectangular looking relay? And has a 3 prong male connection coming off of it.

I wonder if it was pulled out and cleaned up a little if you wouldn't be able to find a part number on it? Then web search for a description.

Got it...that relay isn't jumping out at me.


The other one looks like the heater resistor plug although I thought there are supposed to b two wires coming to it with one cavity unused.

I’ll pull it and try to get a part number. The 74’s had some weird wires added for the interlock system… wondering..
