I'm rebuilding the quadrajet for my 1979 T/A 301 4 speed, carb no. 17059271.
Where could I find the fuel float adjustment spec?

Angeles and McCarthy, (famous Pontiac S/S drag racers from the 70s) sets all their QJ floats at 1/4". Works for me too.
