Swapping in a 3.73, may as well replace the inner/outer bearings and seals while it is open
LOTS of bearings to choose from on Summit -- need a recommendation.
Thanks!

I rebuilt mine with this kit, possibly also from Summit about 10 years back. It was full of brand name parts put together under their name. I checked my records for the kit details but I didn't list the individual bearings, just what was replaced. Plus several other diff parts.

If your axles have worn or pitted areas where they run in the bearings, you can get slightly offset bearings that incorporate the outer seals, and allow the axles to be used. Mine were mint, I still replaced them and at least one is now hammered into the ground as a bird feeder stand.

If you haven't bought the gears/bearings yet, look at Quick Performance. They have the best prices around that I could find. I ran Timken outer bearings and Koyo inner bearings when I rebuilt mine last winter. Quick Performance said that Koyo and Timken are both great quality bearings.
