I bet I'm the first to discover rabbits under the hood.

One jumped out as soon as I opened the hood and another was asleep/ wedged in the back. I chased them out but they were back the next day...

BTW - every single wire was chewed.

For lack of different words that sucks. It would take some pretty good teeth to chew through some of those wires. I know they are just trying to survive, was your car stored indoors or outside?

I have fought squirrels and chipmunks trying to get into my house, tearing up shingles and vents. I thought they were cute until they damaged my house. After they crossed the line I had to trim my trees back and set rat traps. My dog has pretty much taken care of the chipmunks, killing almost two dozen.

I am not sure how you discourage rabbits, most likely lots of YouTube videos with suggestions.

Yikes, that's not bunny at all. Time to put a ferret in car.

My amazing fortune teller skills show your next post will be about engine running on one cylinder...

Yeah they spared one...
But wanted to let people know that the spaded can be removed and repaired.

To remove from the connector just insert a small screwdriver as shown and pull the spade out.
The hardest part is how do you remove the old wires without breaking the taps, I was able to remove the wire from the lower connector only and both compressed/soldered the new pigtail in place. After which you have to bend the holding tap out and reinsert into the connector.

After doing all of that work I found spade connectors in my pile of junk.

Now I have to repair every other wire including the sending units, tach, etc. hopefully they did not get to the main junction box but I'll see.

So does anyone know of an easy way to find number 1 cylinder? The cap is not numbered and I don't want to find it manually by turning the engine.

You mean like this!  That sucks Jack, big time!! My wife is down to 2 now. She had a pile of them for awhile. Im glad she got over that in a hurry! Yes, they will eat ANYTHING!! She calls it spicy hay. Ours dont roam all of the time but we had to wrap any exposed wires in flex conduit to save it. Not to mention baseboards, chairs etc. She puts up with my cars so I have to put up with her hobbies.

My car is garaged and covered, I opened the trunk sat for the first time and there was a pile of nut shells and a nice nest. I have no idea how what got in there, but I suspect a squirrel.

Kerry, the ones out here are not as cute (I can't believe I'm referring to rabbits as cute ) But I've never seen so many rabbits in my yard and this morning my son saw few deer outside his window. Nature is taking over

Steve, thank you I need to get that stuff for my father's garden.

Cute but still a menace!
I live right in the woods. My entire development is wooded and not uncommon to see a deer wander across the front yard. I have seen a couple of wild rabbits in the yard (we joked and said they sensed the bunnies inside), but not that many. Squirrels on the other hand, we have them by the hundreds. Never had a problem with them in the house YET, but like I said, I have found nut remnants in my trans am. My brothers house backs up to the woods and at one time he had a cedar shingled roof. The squirrels ate a hole through it and his attic became their new headquarters of destruction. He has very little good to say about those rodents.
