Console repair
« on: February 11, 2022, 09:29:55 PM »
Looking to start resto on my original console. Has a couple small nicks and a couple gouges but real deep. What would be the best material to fill those? I saw this previously but now with missing posts , can't seem to find it. Thanks for any input.

This is what I used, then finished with SEM paint/dye.

Roadking77 did a nice write up I'm not sure if it was lost and/or if he reposted.

I think it was lost, when I get a chance I will repost.
Polyvance is the stuff I use. It mixes like bondo, but be careful not to mix too much at a time. I usually only go about the size of a quarter or so. It sets up pretty quick, and is expensive. I try not to waste any of it.

Polyvance shows more steps than just adding dash pad filler.  Eventually I will have to try this
