help id wires.

I'm lost about these brown wires.  They fit in the slots but the pink ones go there too.  Where do the brown wires go to?

I don't know.  It was common for two wires to be coming from there, powering the power window relay and the tach, but those were pink in the late 70's whence most of our parts cars came from.   Maybe they don't go there.

What year is the car?  78? Maybe we should be looking at the diagram.

I already looked at my picture-of-the-back-of-the-dash and I can't see that.

With the clear plug? Isnt the pink wire the jumper harness to connect 2 options to one slot?

Oh, I see what you're saying with existing plug. I'm not home where my info is, but is your car one that didn't originally have the rally gauge and tachometer gauge set? As Hoggie said, mine and most others have pink and black wires for tachometer and power windows, the jumper cable if both are used is also pink. It would also work if you needed both plugs but I think it's something else again.
I've seen that plug on my spare harnesses for cuts, can't recall what without looking.

I figured it out.  It's an extra connector in the heater wire, shown here, circuit 50, "ACSRY FEED"

So it's hot on acc, and it should not be plugged in there.  I'm not sure what it's for, but the heater wire is one of the few brown wires in the system.

I completely forgot, was going to check my car while there and obviously got distracted. But I think mine is unused and taped up in the harness. Since I'm now curious and can't recall what I did 8 years ago, I'll check again.

I guess I could go look, but I don't know where that plug actually is, in terms of distance from the fuse box.  It looks like it's not near the end of the wire, anyway.  You don't see it here.

Yes, comes out about 3" from the fusebox, same spot as the brake light switch, high-beam switch, rear defogger.

Never mind, he's gone.
