Looking for bumper, fender, hood fitment thread by NOT A TA
« on: September 20, 2021, 11:05:48 AM »
I suspect we lost the great thread by John Paige where he explains some issues of sheet metal and bumper fitment on the early 7-73) cars.  I remember reading it a while back and now need to reference some of his findings.  Is there a way to revive that thread or search it for it in an archive?

I'm specifically looking for the gap info and why a hood on the Formula cars would sit higher than the fender along the top.

Thanks!

There are those who disagree with me. Full discussion in this thread which includes the original post I'd made on this forum and copied & pasted on another Firebird forum at that time. Read this thread slowly and then make decisions on how you want to proceed. http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=792708

I understand. It’s been a bit since I read it and need to lower one whole side of hood down. I seem to recall you discussing this.

Thank you for the link!
