70-81 Dash Mat
« on: June 07, 2021, 07:26:27 PM »
Hey yall. Has anyone come across a good fitting dash mat for our cars. I've gotten two of them in the past and they are way too big. Usually hanging by 3-4 inches past the edge above the gauges. I've used the Covercraft version, sent it back for a replacement thinking maybe it was a one off cut wrong, and it was  the same fitment. Thanks in advance.

I had a custom one made along with some floor mats years ago, needed to be custom anyway. Then sold them as didn't need either.
Point being, probably cost the same but fit perfectly and picked colours and material. Are you hiding a cracked dash? Mine was new, another reason I wasn't sure why I had one made up.

I think mine fit pretty good. I just looked underneath for a tag to see who makes it but none there.  I think I got it from Classic Industries.  I'll upload some pics tomorrow and if you like them I will dig around for a receipt.

I used dash dash designs, just bought it last last year. Fits well and lays down nice. I got the velour version to keep with the rest of the interior
I know some people don't like them but I don't think it looks bad at all and I am trying to keep more dash cracking at bay.

My dash cracked in two places the other day. From the edge that meets the cowl towards the drivers seat.

Should give you some ideal what it would look like. Been working on the car so I had to put the mat back on the dash. In those pictures its just laying on the dash and I think it fits pretty good. It does come with Velcro strips to hold it down. If you have a black dash it should blend in pretty good and they do have several choices of materials. My only complaint is that they have a tag sewn on the passenger side corner that I am going to try and carefully cut off. They are made to order so if you asked them they might not put the tag on.
