Low beam issue 1978
« on: June 07, 2021, 10:24:23 AM »
All,
I installed new headlights on a 1978 and on High, all 4 light up, but on low nothing. Is this the dimmer switch or something else. Thanks!

Likely.  It's a high amperage switch and it stays damp.  They don't have a great life.  There's no fuse to blow.  Did the lights work before?

Thanks, The lights were intermittent, sometimes they would work, sometimes nothing when pushing the dimmer switch. I also found a faulty ground at the drivers side front which I had not ever touched but I cleaned it up and lights were brighter and responded better on that side. Thanks for the info, the switch is not that expensive, I'll give it a try.
