While we're waiting to see what happens next, post up a random Firebird/TA pic (or two or 5 or whatever) when you check in so we'll have something new to look at each time we check in to see if all is well again in Trans Am Country.

While the forum kinda crashed, things could be much worse.

OK- Not a Firebird, but the Moosetang is my wife's, and the Lambo stayed here sometimes. He just sold it, so no more of me being the guy who occasionally drove a Lamborghini to work

Just a heads up, the TA that I'm having restored is in the bodywork stage as in mini tubs, trunk close out boxes and other misc.
I told the builder, Steve Walker with Wet Dreams Restorations, to call you about installing the G Brace kit and your reinforcement kit
for it.
I hope he calls and gets it right.

The instructions for everything are on the Lab-14 website. And he's certainly welcome to call 8 AM-midnight Eastern, 7 days, 365. Ya, I have no life. If I don't answer I may be working on someone's car or have compressor or other loud tools running, so leave a voicemail or text and I'll return call. Apparently my instructions are pretty good as I very rarely get calls.

Yes, that's exactly what I was doing. The owner of that car shipped it down to me and wanted everything below the car replaced. New, steering, suspension, PTFB frame connectors and what not. He wanted me to put a hundred miles or so on it before shipping it back to GA and was OK with me doing some tuft testing so it worked out well for me since I wanted some baseline info and my own car was apart. Although not me in the pic below, I've driven the same car at the strip. Love banging a 4 speed on the strip! All my drag cars were auto's with high stall convertors, trans brakes, and that kind of thing so rowing a 4 speed is like a blast from the past.

That particular pic with the yarn tufts shows that the while the open shaker allows ambient temp air in, it doesn't receive any benefit from the high pressure area at the base of the windshield so there isn't really any "Ram Air" effect. I had the passenger take pics at cruise & full throttle. During full throttle air is pulled in the scoop but at cruise not so much.

Not Trans Ams, but entertaining. I wonder how fast you'd have to go to do this in a T/A ( if you weren't in a video game, I mean) ? Probably more a function of the grade. Definitely would want to be wearing your brown pants.
