« on: August 05, 2020, 09:13:25 AM »

                     10002754 B             D288

                     10002754 G             F17

I just quickly pulled up a parts book printed in 1987 and I don't see either.  10002755 was in wide use on Pontiacs on the left side, so 10002754 looks suspiciously related and it's common for manifolds on opposite sides to be one number apart.

Googling those numbers worked well though.

I am trying to determine if these are correct for 1979 400. At one time I thought they were from my 77, the guy that wanted to buy them said they were for a 79 car! I found on the wallace site that the  10002754 should be the right one, and from what I understand the date code D288 is April 28, 1978. So I would think that could be used for a 79 400.
I saw somewhere that the 496002 was for 1975, the date code J304 may confirm that?
I think these came with the pile of motor parts for my TATA, what I dont understand is that the 496002's are passenger side and the 10002754's are driver sides?
The more I look the more confused I am getting. Once my phone is charged back up I will post some pics.

I am working from home, and my office now is the shop.  So I have a 400 out of a 1977 station wagon here in my office.  It has a 496002 on the passenger's side.  1977 date code like yours.

The big question is whether that was revised, and I don't know.  I have better parts books, maybe I should look at them.
