79-81 Formulas were all 2-tone. The W50 option got the callout door decals, mirror stripes, decklid spoiler w/stripes and scoop paint. That one is a regular Formula, looks great. Don't change a thing. Haven't you already got a red 79 W50 as well?

76-78 Formulas were all single tone, unless W50 which were 2-tone with decals, rear spoiler, scoop paint and wheelarch trim.

That car in the article looks great with the 275/60 rear and 235/60 front.  I always tell people to try 275/60 rear and 255/60 front whenever size questions come up.  255/60 seems to be everyone’s go-to tire all round though.

The 255 all round is also one that looks most off to me since it fills the front guards with the wider track but leaves he rears tucked under, giving the illusion of being front heavy.

Yes original owner made mods back in the day. I have all parts to put back except standard front vinyl seats. It has H-O Racing cam, lifters, H-O Tri-Y headers, Edlebrock intake, Holley carb and Recaros.

Great looking car.  My brother ordered a 79 formula new and specifically did not get a rear spoiler.  It had the emblem on the trunk.
