Hello - I was out for a cruise Monday night and while stopped at a light, I was rear-ended by a teenager who was Googling my car because he didn't know what it was.  When the light turned green he didn't notice that I was still stopped, so he rear-ended me.  He was super apologetic, and I have American Modern collector car insurance who said that they'll pay to return my car to "pre-collision condition."  Thankfully, nobody was hurt.

I've got damage to the left rear quarter, rear bumper, left corner spoiler and tail light assembly.  Can someone please recommend a body shop in the DC area.

Thanks,

Bill B.

OUCH, sorry to hear of the bad luck. Looks like it could've been worse. I know a great shop but its about 2 hrs north of you. Maybe just take a day and drive around and ask questions. With that car I would def. be specific though and try to find the 'right guy' as opposed to a generic shop doing insurance claims. You should be able to get a good feel from talking with them if they do classics as well as modern stuff. You also may have to help source some parts.
On the lighter side, at least the guy that hit you must have had enough interest to figure out what your car was!

Is that a little ripple just above the wheel also?

Although it does not look that bad I would take Kerry's advise and take it to the shop he knows, I would not take it to a random shop.

I know that the owners of Mudgetts Auto Body up in Finksburg, MD are car guys.  Probably an hour or so from you but might be worth checking out.  They were long time friends with a friend of mine that was really into classic cars.

Thanks guys for the advice.  I think I found a shop in Rockville, MD that specializes in old GM cars. I'm checking them out this weekend.
