2019 LS Fest
« on: September 11, 2019, 06:51:13 AM »
This was the first time we could attend and I wasn't disappointed!  The hype for this event is real, Beach Bend Park was crazy wild Friday night and Saturday with drivers and spectators and tons and tons of cars!  Talking with Holley LS Fest staff, they expected 35K people to attend and 1200 drivers for this one event.  There were plenty of unique cars there too, all LS powered.
We enjoyed our new LS3 powerplant on 2 different autocross tracks, the drag strip and the 3S challenge with 225 other drivers.

been going for the past 3 years and this year was exceptional, the previous years were not so much, I do hope it keeps up, although I think the neighborhood will have a problem with it considering the all day long 4 mile traffic jamb this year.

We were staged at NCM Saturday morning and had to come to Beach Bend Saturday afternoon, it took 90 min to get 3.5 mile!  That was the longest the car had run to this point, and my left leg was TIRED!

I found it.  It was an individual person who posted on the LSX 2nd Gen Facebook page.

They were just wanting to know who owns the Y88R

I think that is a group you have to join, I just requested to join.  You can share my info with them.  @Y88-r.racing for IG

The Fest has been on my bucket list for a while...I'll have to make my way there next year.  How did the car perform?

My son drove so I just have 2nd hand knowledge but, I was really happy!  He ended up a bit better than mid pack, and that is a touch crowd.  We still don't have a great tune in the Holley system- it has 300 miles on it so far, it sounded good and kept pace with a lot of the faster cars there.  It was very nice the have the 6600 rpm rev limit- something I would never have done with the Pontiac engine.  It has quite a bit more power than we have had and it pulls hard to the limit.

Sounds like you had a great time. Looks like there is a west and east event, something to look into.

LS Fest West is in the spring and is held at Las Vegas motorsport park.
