Looks awesome!
You must be super stoked to see the color laid down.   You planning on finishing the exterior same as it showed in the earliest pics?
Nice to see a shop moving through a project (apparently) on time! There are so many horror stories around.  If you haven't already, you should give those guys a plug.

De-rusted seat tracks and frames in Metal Rescue.  Cleared seat tracks, frames in black.  Had original upholstery professionally cleaned and will reuse them.  Some under-hood parts powder-coated.  Next, spoilers, mirrors getting painted, rust hole in floor getting patched and inside of trunk new splatter paint.

I agree RoadKing, I was shocked how good they look after all this time.  Even the upholstery cleaner who was not a car guy, said, wow this is good material!

Thanks Charlie.  Putting seats back together this week.  Best aftermarket part to date are these new seat backs and piping.  Much easier than trying to dye the crusty faded old parts.  The lower seat backs are perfect so won't be dying those.

I had an upholstery shop bolster the original seat foam and add burlap and tighten up the original seat cover material.  Am waiting for some hardware in order to put seat backs on.  Also, car got color sanded.

Great work! Do you have two middle front spoilers there? Too bad they will get scuffed up, they look like mirrors!

You know, I would have preferred a black interior but this Firethorn red is growing on me in all of its disco-era glory!

Did the seat backs come in red or had to repaint them to match?

You can buy the seat backs in red.  Very nice aftermarket part.

Look good. Often the aftermarket coloured pieces differe in shade and  production batch, as did the originals, just moreso.
