Retrosound install
« on: August 04, 2019, 04:36:43 PM »
Just finished installing a retrosound unit in my 78. Also installed a usb/aux input where the power door lock switch would go. Was going for a clean oem look, think I nailed it. Don’t have much time
Using the radio, but it sounds great, Bluetooth and the usb is awesome for the gps and pandora from my phone.

It was pricey, $470 for the head unit, the usb plug was cheap, only like $10. I had to go for it tho, the single din CD player that was in it just didn’t look the part.

Yea, it really works there. But I’m actually going to be switching the defroster switch and the usb in the future, and rework the panel a little. I’ll have to stiffen the panel a little, it has some flex when plugging/unplugging the cable.

Great Job!
I installed a retrosound system in my LeMans and it is a great sound system. Retrosound is local for me and I got to check out their facility and talk with some of their tech reps and designers. Really nice people and good quality products.
