Oxygen sensor monitor not ready for emissions testing
« on: August 03, 2019, 04:34:36 PM »
Hi - any of you LS swap folks run into this issue?  I'm up to 1000 miles on my LS motor yet this 1 monitor still shows as not ready.

No check engine light or any other codes are being thrown.  Every other monitor is enabled.  The oxygen sensors themselves are working fine too when I check diagnostics.

I've run thru the pre-emissions test break in procedure provided with my E-rod LS engine several times yet it's still not enabling this monitor.

Anyone know if there's a very specific procedure that's required just for these monitors?

I've passed the visual and every other component of the smog test but this one item is preventing it from passing.

Thanks
Darryl

Was the car warm when you checked it? If not I believe the O2's reset each time you drive until they are warm, or the car is warm.

Sorry never came back to update this thread.  I ended up passing after a smog shop put it in their dyno and ran the smog cycles on it I believe about 3 times.

I had checked the car warm and cold, nothing worked until the dyno runs.
