I made a couple threads on this, if you'd like to read:

Corbeau seems to be the only major brand that makes seat brackets for 75-81.   They vinyl and leather looks better, but I'd rather get the ones that grip better (such as suede/cloth) and stick less your skin (such as vinyl or leather).  So going to get suede or alcantara.

I got some cheap seats from Jegs and modified the factory seat brackets to work. It wasn't that hard.

generic picture, I wouldn't really call them race seats but they're lighter and look better than what I had in there

I actually bought a set of the A4's that are in that link and their mounts. I cannot fit in the car with my helmet on.

Did you get this option?  An extra $49 per seat:

"Shaved Base
For many drivers, lowering the seating position is a priority. With the shaved base option, we shave the foam in the seat base to lower your ride height. For this seat we can shave up to one inch without jeopardizing the comfort or integrity of your seat."

Makes sense. T-tops were only invented so Bandit could drive with his Stetson on.

Do the seat brackets have room to be modified so they can be lowered?

the Corbeau seat floor brackets don't position the seat correctly they are about 1.5" off the wheel center line, I ended up making brackets.
I have a brand new set with adjustable tracks that I can look at, if I remember correctly they could be modified to lower them some.
And since you will need to modify them to properly center the seat anyhow...

I was trying to figure something out before the 25th of July. We're going to UMI autocross event, sold the seats to a friend with a gbody. I might try a kirkey I have in a project car.

I have a set similar to this in my Y88-R and I really like the seat, only the reclining mechanism is very cheap.  I created new mounts for these and the seat track itself is right on the carpet and my head with helmet is still too tall for the T-Tops- when I road course I have to scooch down in the seat to fit.

Has anyone used the Procar seats?
There website says that they can match your interior color.
Thanks,
Darryl
