Rear springs on 79
« on: June 11, 2019, 08:27:38 PM »
Hi all. New to this forum. Just picked up a 79 with a 400 and 4 speed last weekend. 52000 miles. Car is in great overall condition. Noticed that when I hit dips or bumps in road, right rear makes binding noise. New shocks were installed within the last 6 months. However the eye bushings, shackle bushings and cushion pads are pretty much roached. Hoping this is the issue. Any feedback on how to replace, best options, etc would be helpful. Polyurethane is this the way to go?  Sway bar bushings were replaced already.

Also ebrake cable is missing. Need to replace from interior on back. Suggestions? Thanks. J

poly bushings are fine in the shackles but not in the front eye or leaf spring pads, new rubber in both.
