Final drive home
« on: April 17, 2019, 10:57:15 AM »
Well my last day of work was 12 April and I started my last drive from California to South Dakota 13th and made it home on the 14th. The truck did great even getting 7.5 mpg........lol. I am officially retired and hopefully the money estimates are correct, if they are I will be making a little more than I was working.......fingers crossed.

congrats and best wishes for a long and healthy retirement.

Glad the trip was uneventful.  Left on the 13th and arrive on the 14th...that's a long way to go and a short time to get there.

I'm in Rapid City, me and the wife are really happy we picked this city. We are both from Oregon but couldn't talk ourselves to go back, they are headed down the California road.

The career was Air Reserve Technician which it a two component job. One reserve and one civil service.
