TATA Decals
« on: May 05, 2019, 03:09:50 PM »
Is the stripe kit for the TATA 'black, silver, red'? or 'black, clear, red'? Hope this makes sense. I am currently painting my car and this is information will be more than helpful with locating the paint lines.

By the looks of what is on my car it is black, silver, red.   Does not appear to be a clear strip between the black and red.
That will make it easier to mask for paint.

In reference to the decals I bought for my car several years ago from Phoenix Graphics:
If you use the roll stripes, it is red, silver , black.
If you use the pre-cut stripes: the mirror stripes, and the stripes that go on the doors and roof have silver in the middle. the rest have clear.
In other words, stripes that go on the charcoal color, or separate the two-tone have the silver (to help hide the paint line). the rest do not.
I hope this helps.

Thanks Guys, that helps tremendously. I assumed they would be made that way but we all know what happens when we assume! I am looking for the dimension of the colour change on the roof line. From the back edge of the t top to the center of the stripe on the roof. I have been given a dimension of 1-1/4" and am looking for confirmation of that number. I have original paint markings at the door jamb and on the door and fender so I think I can fake those, LOL.

This is mine. Keep in mind that my car has been repainted, and I can't guarantee that this is correct. What I CAN say is that the Phoenix Graphics "Ultimate" kit was used, and everything lined up.

PERFECT! Greatly appreciate it. That confirms what I was told. The other guy has an original paint car, so I guess they did yours correct. LOL.
