Exhaust tail pipe Flowmaster 15801 Questions
« on: March 13, 2019, 12:39:18 AM »
For the Olds powered (403) Firebirds -  The Flowmaster 15801 tail pipes supposedly fit... I see more 'it fits' reviews.

Has anyone experienced success with these fitting without cutting pipe?

....  with cutting pipe or slight mods?

Do these have tail pipe hangers toward the rear already welded on?

dual exhaust, dual over the axle.  It does matter if the pipe is bent well enough to avoid clanking around.

Called Holley (Flowmaster techs)

~supposed to be exact fit ( I inquired for '79 Firebird)

~ no welded angle bracket for hanging

~ tail out rear exit, it is expected to be slight cut for splitter tips.

~ center in / offset out muffler

Generic tailpipe so exact for none, kinda fits many. Splitters used different tailpipes to straight pipe versions, not just shorter. That's why there's also 2 different tailpipe exhaust hanger locations.

Lost me Aus78Formula.  Please elaborate what you mean.  You used different tailpipes to make splitters work?  2 different hangar locations?
