Anyone know someone who can tune?
« on: March 11, 2019, 08:40:45 AM »
I asked this on the ls1 board but they are not as helpful as this group.  I need someone who I can send my 1998 Trans am PCM to who can do basic tuning. The engine is stock and swapped into my 79. Erg blocked off better intake tube/filter, cats removed and no rear O2 sensor.  I understand there is a cost but I don't want to take it for a dyno session as all I want is it to run as it did stock.

I thought about him. I know it's a personal hobby for him so I really didn't want to bother him but of I can't find someone I will.

Thanks!

Don't want to speak for him but he did advertise once that he'll do it for a fee.

I used BP automotive, they did a stand-alone Harness type flash for $150, 04 gen III computer (ls1). I haven't got it started yet so that's all I know for sure, but seems they have a decent rep online.

Tuning a custom LS is a business, naturally it's going to cost. Given that they are so popular, there is probably just as many ho-hum tuners as good ones, so hunt around for those with good results and feedback.

Hey Form, got your PM. What you are asking for is definitely within my wheelhouse. I've done it now for about half a dozen cars. Give me a call and we can figure something out.
