Build Sheet Bonanza
« on: February 09, 2019, 12:19:33 PM »
Ok...I came across a photo of a build sheet that I retrieved from one of my donor cars and I thought it'd be fun / interesting for you all to decipher it as best as you can!!

I'll post a picture of it before it was taken to the scrap yard after we've had our fun with it

NM4, NM5, and NM6 are interesting.  I don't think I've seen that before.  Evidently it's all Canadian emissions calibration.
UT1 is a one-year-only option.  It had gold turbo wheels on a brown car.  I've never seen one like that.

Interesting how many options cars use to have.

Only 2 replies eh.....kinda figured I'd get more than that...oh well

Here is the car I picked it out of and it obviously received a new colour at some point. I found the build sheet behind the rear seat. I took lots of parts off this one and it was hauled away to the scrap yard. It wasn't worth saving. For me to admit that, the car musta been in bad shape!

Did it have a tank back seat?  Did somebody paint the interior?

Just curious.  I always look for things on the build sheet I've never seen before, and so you did good in that area.

OK...if memory serves me correctly it was a normal back seat and it was tan. As far as the plastics go, I can't remember if it was painted...one of the cars did have the plastics re sprayed but I want to say it was the green one. this goes back close to 20 years and I just cant remember.

You have to give these threads about a week to start getting any replies to them.

Ive only been through a few cars but have yet to find a build sheet. I havent taken the gas tank off of my tata yet, still holding out hope that one will be there. Int. was stripped when I got it.

Interior was out already eh. That sucks. Hopefully you find it above the tank. The build sheet for "The Project" was likely above the tank and I believe that it has been destroyed. It wasn't inside the interior and I didn't find it anywhere else. If I was going to restore the car and not change anything, then I could see the point of recreating one but I'm not and I'm not going to.

I would like to find one just because, but its a TATA so there really wouldn't be any surprises.

Even though you know what it is, it's always nice having that build sheet

Fingers crossed that its up on the tank
