road race type flares
« on: January 11, 2019, 09:32:29 PM »
a couple months ago I got my hands on near 40 year old set of virgin fire am flared full quarters and front fenders, last week i got into duplicating the old Due scoop, well this weekend I will be making molds of the rear flares, at first it will just be the flares then move on to the full quarters and fenders.

What a shame these kinds of parts are lost in history.

I’m glad to see you got a set to replicate.  Keep the updates coming!

I still have the VSE catalog/manual from the old days. Loved the way the flared fenders looked. That catalog set the stage for the start of my '71's road race look project. With the rear fenders already cut for slicks from it's time as a bracket car, the flares would fit right in! Maybe there is some hope for this project yet?

"Dude" scoop is a taller version of shaker. Originally made by Pontiac Dude IIRC.

A repro quality Interpart or Cragar rear louvre would be neat.

I have a Crager lover in my crawl space that I need to fix so when my car is done I can install them

Nice, I like it, are you limiting it to the later years?
