Turbo snorkel ducting
« on: December 15, 2018, 09:54:05 PM »
Have any of the Turbo guys here found that their aircleaner snorkel picked up extra leaves or rubbish as a result of the large scoop open to the elements? Taken the top off the aircleaner and found extra debris that has found it's way through to filter? I'm working on a removable mesh cover, just not sure how much of an issue it was to those who drove often.

Very precise question here.  Have you looked into 301 garage forum?

Not at all. I'm not a member and don't own a 301, just a random thought based on what I was already doing.

Ok so cancel that idea. The cheap aluminium grille mesh I have doesn't bend without cracking. The dodgy but easy alternative may simply be some flexible nylon screen door gauze flyscreen wrapped between the first two ducts where they slide together, or a larger panel over the mouth and larger cable tie around it. High tech alternative to what I had in mind that would slide into place.
