What spark plugs do you use on your RPM D-Port heads?
« on: November 01, 2018, 07:07:51 PM »
Edelbrock recommends Champion RC12YC from what I've read. I believe the gap is set at 036.  My original gap on my old 76 pontiac head was .060 gap. Big difference! I am using an MSD ignition box with a high voltage coil. Any suggestions appreciated. Should I be using anti-seize? Do these heads come with heli-coils?

It's kinda funny running lawn mower plugs isn't it. When you give them that hair cut you might want to mention it for laughs.

I don't have Edelbrocks, but I have Kauffman's. I use NGK FR-5 per their recommendation with a gap of .035-.045, but a cross reference for alternative plug is the Champion plug you have.

I have the Edelbrock D port heads and have the recommended RC12YC plugs I put the gap at .040  and yes use anti-seize when installing them and no they do not have helicoils in them at the plugs.
