80 Trans Am Speaker info
« on: September 26, 2018, 11:24:36 PM »
hello to all!
it's a long time since my last post.
I left my project untouched for years, now it's time to put it on then road
I read around and searched with google, but I'm not sure of what I found and I'm not satisfied of the pictures and info
I will put on my car a new modern radio with 1 DIN, and I need to install the front dash speacker LH and RH
when I bought the car in 2007 no more OEM speaker or braket on it, so sadly I've no idea how to install them correctly
I see the drawing in assembly manual but OEM bracket are almost impossible to find.
I want to use OEM grille on the dash, I sourced 2 used with very good look, and good tabs on the back
someone has good pcture of how they did on their car?
what kind of good speaker WITH bracket to buy?
thank you somuch for any help!

They were a hard to install because of the limited space to work.  That was the only real benefit of the original bracket.  I suppose if you cannot find original brackets, you'll have to just make something.  Can you not find a picture online?  Brackets for sale on eBay?  I haven't parted out a car in a long time, but we sold the ones we could.
