Today we started emptying out the basement into the garage. The electrician comes Monday to start putting the panel up, running the cable to the garage and to the old panel (upgrading to 200 amp) and running the cable under ground out to the main pole!!

Looks awesome and I'm sure many are in envy.

Question:  Why paint white drywall.... white?

Not sure of Charlies reason, but bare drywall needs painted with something. It will turn dark and ugly over time when left alone.

I painted both of my storage garages bright white. Helps 'brighten up' the place, and generally looks nice. Easy to clean too. Much easier to see everything than a dark or muted color.

Yes, white is nice. Reflects the light greatly. What walls I have finished in my shop are painted a very light grey, and I plan on putting white metal on the ceiling just for reflectivity. Nexus' garage looks fantastic!!

As mentioned, it seals up the surface to make easier to clean...if it ever comes to that but more importantly, it helps to brighten up the space so it doesn't feel like you're working in a cabe

Thanks...yeah it is a decent size for sure. My father still isn't happy with it so he has a contractor bringing him back a quote for the extension off the back side. We had it set up in the plans, so all the doorways are ready to go. Just going to go with an unheated shell for now and finish it off slowly.

As they say...you could build a warehouse and it would still be too small. This is perfect for me but I can do one job at a time (even if it takes e forever) where he has to have a few things on the go. He needs to stay busy all the time.
