Interior Blunder

I can't believe Pontiac left this emergency brake mechanism showing on the trans am.  Where the handle goes on lesser models. How unfinished Pontiac!  :-)

It's not a typical angle to be viewing at, they also stopped bothering fitting complete deluxe pedal trim to the e-brake in later years.

The brake release handle was never in that location. All second Gen models had the release handle as the Trans Am. The area circled on your photo might have been for an inside hood release (which was never offered).

That was the blunder, fitting the release outside for the public.

These were built on the same line as Camaros which used a conventional pull.

I was not impressed by the sloppiness of the release so I reworked it to function like the Camaro setup and used the hole for something else.
