Differential vent
« on: June 18, 2018, 01:42:04 AM »
Hi all,

At the top of the rear end diff, there is a breather whole.
There is no thread in the hole so I can't screw in something.

What is your solution here? I was thinking a tight fitting rubber hose with some rtv, but then there is no valve, which I guess there should be?

plastic breather as per TH350 case. You need the white plastic version which is 3/8" , not the black.

DV, I have a mule rear, that has one in it. I grabbed the plastic vent with my fingers, twisted and pulled it out, W/O breaking it. I tried to up-load a photo through Photobucket, but as usual, all it's wants to do is spin, and not load. So after 5 mns. I gave up.
Anyway, if you pm me a shipping address, I'll send it to you for freebies via US snail. (If you're interested).
P.S. The mounting base diameter measures in about .440. (No, not a Mopar)

Seeing this little plastic doo-dad will be traveling half way around the world, I confiscated an old end-mill container to maybe help keep it from being damaged. Be interesting to see how it fairs in the hands of the USPS. Hope you receive it B4 were're all in space ships.
I'll get it in the mail this week-end. Good luck.

 8-) :D
Thanks.
I'm sure the USPS will be more gentle with it, than our own SAPO

I will let you know of it's safe arrival, or perhaps not so safe.

It's nice to see there are still good people in the world. Hopefully you will start a "Pay it Forward" movement.

Thanks TAJoe!

Glad to help a fellow TAC enthusiast. Went in the mail 6/24/18. Be curious to see when you get it.

So DeV, did this part ever arrive to your neighborhood, or what? Been almost 2 months.

Not yet.
I think it is stuck at our International mailing centre, and our local postal service is not being of much help.
I'm also waiting for other stuff bought off eBay. I'm sure it will show up somewhere.

I'll let you know when it does

Thanks

you ain't seen nothin' yet!

I hate dealing with our postal service, but it is the cheapest. I always use DHL or FedEx as far as possible.
