Where can one source a new Courtesy Lamp Socket? The tab is broken off one of mine and i'd like to replace it but can not find a new one.

I have this one:

Yah I was thinking about just redoing that harness. It seems used lamp sockets go for 12$+ on ebay.

Someone must remake those sockets, painless sells them in a similar kit aswell.

If redoing anyway then save by picking up a few cut or damaged harnesses where the plastic housings are still good. I have an extended version from 2 sets so I have the rear floor areas lit as well.

Rear floor area? where did you mount the housing?

I'll see if I took a pic, it was only mocked up to see if it would work then packed away. I think I mounted a small plate or strip off the rear track to seat base so the lamp was closer to seat centre and moved back and forth with it but clear or anything, forward so unseen and not going to be kicked either. It wouldn't be too hard to simply hang it off a piano wire with a cable tie and aimed backwards for a low tech, low effort version to test.

I'm interested in seeing that. Sounds like a worthwhile modification.

Haven't look yet, pretty sure I took a pic for ideas. I have no intention of having rear passengers but when you have one or two spare and incomplete harnesses you start thinking how you can use them. I thought it may light up the cabin nicely instead of just the front. I also tried some green tinted globes early on and looked neat, but that was with black carpet, I'm sure the camel tan will look crook! Either way, the wiring needs to be reversed at some point if using leds, since the offset bulb steps them being turned, just found my pic of that.
