OEM door panels vs. Legendary
« on: December 30, 2018, 04:53:41 PM »
After changing out the doors and all else during the rebuild, I noted that the windows flop around too much.  Adjustments were made many times, but today I noticed that the top of the inner panel moves quite a bit in and out.  I noted the "hook" angle seemed quite shallow on the repop piece (the plastic originals were toast).

Does anyone have an original door panel off the car to examine and see if the angle is the same here?  My 71 Lemans has the hook vertical and no glass floppage whatsoever...

this is all I could find with google-fu:

thanks

Depends if that top curved molding is a fixed shape or flexible as you wrap it over and pull the door trim down to the door. It should still tuck in at the same angle at the glass with the inner seal, which is about all it does anyway.
